Aching for the road again…

October 13th, 2009

The trees are changing – green to red. Every scent hints at winter, and just like every other time the season changes, I’m aching for the road again…

So I’m heading off on tour! In November “The Guess Who’s Driving Tour” – the cross-Canada tour I’ve been doing all summer with Kim Wempe – continues in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and select cities in Nova Scotia. I’m so excited!

If you’ve been keeping up with “The Guess Who’s Driving Tour,” you probably know that Kim and I have been getting audiences laughing, crying and stomping their feet from coast to coast. And we’ve had our share of adventures along the way (moose-watching in Newfoundland, running out of gas in British Columbia’s mountainous wilderness, writing songs on the cliffs of Gabriola Island while seals danced around in the Pacific Ocean, playing a private show at Saskatchewan’s Lake Kipabiscau, and writing the “Carmelicious” rap song while cruising down the Trans-Canada, to name a few). Check out our video blogs at

This time our ultimate destination is Toronto’s CN Tower. Kim’s afraid of heights, but I’m endlessly fascinated by the edge of things, so it should be fun. We will post a video blog of our live performance from the tallest free standing structure in the world!

The “Guess Who’s Driving Tour – CN Tower or Bust” starts with our Official Showcase at “Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week” and finales with a show back home at the Carleton in Halifax. See you on the road! Keep in touch…
