Florida recap, March release + upcoming shows!

Hey Folks!

Lots of news these days. I had an amazing time at the 30A Songwriter’s Festival in Seaside, Florida. I played three shows there and all of them were packed with wonderful, appreciate audiences. And of course… I met some people from Nova Scotia! It always great to have a connection to home even when I’m far away. I also met some amazing musicians from all over the US (not to mention some wonderful people like Shawn Mullins, John Oates, Rodney Crowell and lots of songwriters from Nashville). I can’t wait to go back down south to do more shows, that’s for sure.

Now that I’m back home, I hard at work getting ready for my album release March 30th, 2010. I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally be releasing this record. It’s the culmination of a life long dream for me AND it’s just the beginning of so much more. You can still pre-order the new album through my website to get a personalized copy before it’s available in stores.

Canadian Songbird Carmel Mikol Flys South to Perform at 30-A Songwriters Festival in Florida

Cape Breton, Nova Scotia songbird Carmel Mikol is flying south this winter to represent the country at the 30-A Songwriter’s Festival in Seaside, Florida January 15-17, 2010. Headlining artists include The Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins, Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs along with an impressive contingent of songwriters from Nashville’s Curb Music and singer/songwriters from across the US.

Carmel performs three shows during the Festival:

Jan 15 – 7:15pm @ Shorty’s, Grayton Beach FL

Jan 16 – 8:30pm @ Stinky’s Fish Camp, Santa Rosa Beach FL

Jan 17 – 7:30pm @ Rosemary Beach Town Hall, Rosemary Beach FL

Having spent 2009 touring across Canada, Carmel is excited to kick off 2010 with appearances in the US. In the New Year Carmel will release her new album “In My Bones” (March 30th), complete a cross-Canada album release tour in the summer, and tour the North Eastern US in the fall.
