The streets of Toronto speak to me in many languages…and I take it all in eagerly, storing every image away for the long winter ahead. I’ll revisit these sounds and sights during the winter, while I’m home in Halifax, and they’ll end up like precious stones set into songs written in the quiet, snow-laden comfort of my own city. But for now, I take it all in…
The city has been generally kind to us. Our first show here, at the Press Club was packed! It was a pleasure to meet some of the people who’ve been really supportive of this tour – our Publicist (Speak Music), our graphic designer (Kurt Firla) and many more. Besides a slight run in with urban reality (our tour car was broken into today… but we were lucky and all our instruments are in tact and still in our possession!), we’ve seen a lot of beautiful things in Toronto. We play our second TO show at The Cameron House Monday night at 9pm sharp.
ALSO – Don’t forget to vote AGAIN for my song “Sunny Days” nominated in Folk Category for an Independent Singer Songwriter Award. VOTING CLOSES NOV 25th! Every vote counts and you get to vote as many times as you can! Thank you so much for your support so far. To vote visit: http://www.carmelmikol.com/vote
